The company will present in collaboration with Enea, the Italian National Laboratory for New Technologies
OCEM Power Electronics will present a paper on supercapacitors next week at the International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering (EEEIC) in Florence.
“ETHICAL: a modular supercapacitor-based power amplified for high current arbitrary generation,” will be presented in collaboration with ENEA, the Italian National Laboratory for New Technologies, on Thursday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Aula 3.
Supercapacitors are energy storage systems that offer high power and density, fast recharge and long lifetime, but with lower available energy density than batteries. They are especially useful for applications where peak power is relatively short compared to recovery time, like in large experimental plants such as fusion energy facilities.
OCEM has for years developed power electronics technology in the field of supercapacitators, and last month sponsored an event on supercapacitators at the ENEA Frascati Research Center in Rome.
The EEEIC is being held from Tuesday through Friday, and will give project engineers, university researchers, manufacturers and distributors of energy equipment the opportunity to meet and discuss topics related to energy systems and environmental protection.
The program will take place at the Palazzina de’Servi and is sponsored by the Italian section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
